the pumpkins

We were kinda late in carving our pumpkins this year but at least they got done. Mathias was kinda funny with them this year. He didn't really like the feel of all the goop inside so he tried to use a couple of spoons so that he wouldn't get his hands all dirty. He also wanted to help carve them or do it himself and we had to explain to him over and over that it is just too dangerous.

Here are our finished products. As you can see, Mathias' is a kitty, Dev did the mummy and I did the jack-o-lantern looking through the blinds. We even did a little pumpkin for baby girl.

feeding the ducks

The office building where I pick up my check for cleaning the FBI office has a little duck pond in the back. I usually take Mathias with me when I pick it up so he can feed the ducks and get spoiled by Barbara, the office manager, with yummy treats. The last couple of times he has gotten the white ducks to eat out of his hand and this time I finally had my camera with me to catch it.

Preschool Halloween Performance

It is so weird to me that I have a kid in school, granted it is only preschool, but still. Today his school had a little performance. They sang about 5 or 6 songs and they all had actions that went with them. I was kinda curious to see how Mathias would do. He does not have a very long attention span. He surprised me big time though. He knew all the actions to all the songs and had them down. I think he is going to be my little perfectionist. My mom and grandma went with me to see him and Mema was laughing at how cute he was and Mathias came down and told her not to laugh at him. It was just so funny. I am seriously loving watching this (not so) little one grow up.

Cornbellys 09

We love going to Cornbelly's and it has become kind of a tradition for us. This is our third year. It is kinda pricey but they just have so much for kids to do and Mathias absolutely loves it. It is so much fun to look back at these pictures over the years and see how much he has grown and what he can do now and what he enjoys.
