a race track made of paper

You tend to try and get a little creative indoors when the weather isn't cooperating very well outside. Mathias came up with and made this paper track all by himself. It was a little hard for the three of us to race around though.

Kangaroo Zoo

We have been coped up for way too long this winter so we decided to go to Kangaroo Zoo. It is a place full of fun bounce houses and slides. Mathias loved it and was able to get rid of some of his energy!

This was a quick little break. Mathias loves his sis and still asks to hold her. I seriously love watching these two together! I may be a bit biased but dang I have some cute kiddos!

They had this little bounce area for little kids so I took Azlyn in it. She seriously LOVED it! She would sit on the alligator and just bounce by herself.  She would actually get kinda mad when I took her out.

Festival of Trees

My cousins Alicia and Lauren were performing with their dance group at the Festival of Trees so a bunch of us decided to go watch them and check everything out. There were quite a few of us there. My Aunt Lori and Uncle Lamont, Cousin Krysta and her friend, and my mom, me and Azlyn.

Azlyn loved the performances. She sat in her car seat and sang along with them and even bounced in her seat a little bit. Alicia and Lauren did a great job! It was fun to be able to see them.

After we saw them perform we went to go look at all the amazing gingerbread houses and such. They had a lot of fun ones.

They also had a lot of amazing ones. They just had so much detail!

Then it was over to the trees. I love looking at all the creative trees. They had some really cute ones this year. I didn't really read any of the stories this year. They are just so sad. I just couldn't do it. Anyways here are some trees that I thought were fun.

Here are some more that I thought were really pretty.

This one with Santa riding a wave was so cool. There were a ton of details and it was just so creative!

Of course we had to take pictures of the girly ones. So pretty.

I couldn't leave the guys out though. They had a tree covered with tools, one covered with gears and a tree made out of tires! I of course had to get a picture of Santa driving a jeep for the guys as well.
It was so much fun and I really love going almost every year with my family.

Park in November!

The weather has been so good lately that we decided we better take advantage of it while we can and walked to a park near us.

While we waited for Dev to be ready we took a few pics in the leaves in the front yard.

Here we are on our way. I just thought it was so cute that Mathias was holding Dev's hand.

While the boys were playing I tried to get a few more pics of Azlyn in some leaves. She just kept trying to eat them. Go figure. I love how she is studying them in the last pic.
With Mathias I would try to go up the canyon and take some fall pics every year but we didn't get around to it this year for some reason.

Here are a few pics of Mathias having fun at the park!

Azlyn got to swing for the first time. She absolutely loved it and was grinning from ear to ear the whole time.

Also here she is going down a slide for her first time. Actually, it was her second time since she went down a slide with Dev at Cornbellies. Again, she loved it.
It was so nice to be able to get out as a family and enjoy the beautiful day!

Trick or Treat

When I was growing up I went trick or treating with my Aunt Lori and my cousins. It has been really fun to carry on this tradition. Mathias gets to go trick or treating with my cousin's kids. The group this year was a little bigger than last since some of my cousins and their family just moved into town.

We took a few family pictures just before starting out. They are a little blurry because the camera was on the wrong setting and I didn't notice till later. We actually really lucked out with the weather. My aunt lives in Salt Lake and as we were driving over the point of the mountain it was pouring down rain. When we got there it was still raining a little. But by the time we finished our yummy chili dinner that Lori made the rain had mostly stopped. It only sprinkled on us for maybe the first two houses. Azlyn did great and was just content to stay in her stroller all bundled up.

Mathias had a blast as usual. He knows exactly what to do and ran from house to house as fast as he could then came back to show us what he got. We were definitely a site to see. I think there were about just as many adults as there was kids. Our group was huge!

We attempted to get a group picture of the kids after we were done trick or treating. I think it is hard enough trying to get a decent group picture of kids but add that they were tired kids that just wanted to check out their loot and it was basically impossible. They were all done by this point. Also I have to brag about my cute cousin Krysta. She made all 4 of those cat costumes! I think they are awesome and look store bought; in fact people thought that they were. I was seriously impressed.

Cornbellies '10

First trip 10/13/10

Cornbellies has become an October tradition for us. This is our 4th year going. We started going when Mathias was about 20 months old. It was so much fun to be able to bring both kiddos this year. This year we bought season passes which lets you go as many times as you would like. I got them on City Deals for half off which ended up only being about $1 more than a weekend day pass so I couldn't pass it up. We were only able to go three times due to rainy and cold weather but we still got our money's worth. Every time we went we did a few different things as well as some stuff over and over again.

Here is our cute little family. It's kinda hard to get them all looking at the same time. I should have asked someone to take a picture for us so that I would've been in the pic too, but oh well.

A quick picture of the kiddos.

Azlyn was so good! She was so content the whole time. She just loved being outside.

The boys on the little pedal go cart things. Boys will never grow up . I think Dev had just as much if not more fun on these things than Mathias did.

Cornball, which is basically volleyball with huge bouncy balls. They were actually kinda hard to get over the haystacks.

Here we are playing in and on the tunnels.

My cute little family watching someone on the mechanical bull. Man I love them!

Playing on the slides. I think Azlyn liked it. She didn't complain anyways. This was her first time down a slide.

Going on the hayride. It was so bouncy! Dev tried to cradle Azlyn so she wouldn't bounce around too much. I love the concerned look on her face.

Some more cute random pictures.

The tricycles. Mathias would push them up the little hill and then ride them down over and over and over again. Out of everything this ended up being his favorite for some reason. We did this for a while every time we came.

The bouncy pillows were also a hit. Although they changed things a bit this year and only let the little kids jump on the huge pillow and the adults and big kids (which since Mathias is so tall he is considered a big kid) to jump on the medium pillow. It was kinda dumb and backwards but what can you do.

Seeing how the kids measured up this year. Mathias really didn't want to do this hence the reason he looks so happy in his picture. Azlyn on the other hand was grinning from ear to ear.

Playing in the corn. Mathias loves to bury himself in it. Azlyn was just happy to participate in something.

Mathias played in this little store for about half a second. Then it got really cold and was time to go home.

Second trip 10/20/10

Playing in the old fire truck. He would try to work the pedals, clutch and wheel like he knew exactly what he was doing.

While Mathias played on the tricycles again I attempted to get some pictures of Little Miss Azlyn.

Here are some more.

This time we went and watched the pig races. It was nothing spectacular but still fun to see.

Love Azlyn's surprised look.

Going on a tractor ride. This one was not as bumpy.

Another bigger corn box. Mathias had fun doing somersaults in here.

He was so worn out that he was sound asleep within minutes of being in the car.

Third trip 10/29/10

On this trip we went through the corn maze. We started out in the kiddie section then hopped the fence into the main big one. We let Mathias lead the way through most of it. We thought it was pretty funny that we let a 4 year old tell us where to go.

Here is Mathias picking a corn once he found out that there was still corn on them.

We didn't bring the stroller this time so we rented a wagon for a bit. Sis slept through a lot of it so when she finally woke up we took some pictures of the kiddos.

Here are some more pictures of our family in the corn maze. We actually spent a lot of time in there and then cheated our way to get out. That is what we get for letting a 4 year old lead us and not really caring.

This was right outside of the maze and Mathias actually wanted to take a picture so I could not pass it up. Unfortunately he is into this really awesome cheeser stage so this is the best smile I was able to get.

He kept asking to pull sister but he would run and not pay very much attention to her so it didn't last long.

Playing in the giant spider web.

It is seriously so hard to get both kids looking at the camera, smiling and not blinking at the same time. I don't know how people to do it. So these are the best I got of the kiddos together this time. I finally also asked someone to take a picture for us so we could finally get a family shot. We had so much fun going to Cornbellies and it doesn't hurt that Mathias gets to burn a lot of energy. It should be really fun next year when Azlyn will be able to run around!
