KINDERGARTEN!

I seriously can not believe that my baby boy is in Kindergarten! When did he grow up so fast?  I knew I would be on the verge of tears all day since I wanted to cry every time I talked about him going to kindergarten in the weeks before.  He was so excited though!

Showing off his new camo back pack.

Got this fun idea of capturing his favorite things on his first day of school on pinterest.

We got there a bit early and they had a boo-hoo breakfast for the parents and kids. Such a fun idea. The kids lined up at their outside door and patiently waited till it was time to go inside. When it was finally time, Mathias waved to me like it was no big deal and just went inside. I had to bite my lip to keep me from crying. It is not very nice to be extra hormonal at times like this. Just saying.

When it was time to go pick him up I had him take me to his class room and show me were he sat and hung his bag etc. He didn't tell me much about his day except it was fun. They sang songs and there are 7 girls in his class and they are all pretty. Seriously, this boy is already girl crazy. We are going to be in some serious trouble in his teenage years!

Then of course we had to get a quick picture with his teacher, Ms. Andrus. This is her first year teaching and she got hired the week before school was to start. Talk about short notice. Mathias loves her.
I am so glad his first day was a success and am looking forward to seeing him learn and grow this year.

this month out front

As I have done for the last couple of months, here are a few pics of the kiddos playing out front this month.

Even though Azlyn is super girly, she still likes to play in the dirt and play with cars. Makes her daddy proud!

Mathias loves to play soccer with his dad!

I just had to show the cute ruffle butt on this little denim dress. Love it!

I was just taking pictures of her and she kept getting super close to the camera. I love how these ones turned out though. Seriously so jealous of her eyelashes!

Azlyn just hanging out and playing around.

I really tried to get a few more pictures of Mathias playing outside this month so it is not just a blog of Azlyn but he is just so dang busy and fast that it is hard. Here are a few though.

Azlyn loves Mathias' helmet. She likes to put it on but she likes to buckle it up even more.

Azlyn pushing around baby Ariel. She loves to push her around, try to take her out, put her back in and then push her some more. She is such a little mommy already. It is just so cute.

More random pics of my cute little lady.

The fam just hanging out together outside.

Mathias decided he wanted me to take a bunch of pictures of him while he made funny faces and posed in all sorts of funny ways. I wasn't about to say no because for once he WANTED me to take pictures of him.
I sure do love my little family!

The Kiddos

The kiddos have a little secret they want to share with everyone....

Baby boy will be joining the family in just 5 short months!

P.S. Keep checking back for posts of things we did this summer as I will be back posting them at the times that they happened.

baby # 3 is a.......

I am extremely impatient when it comes to finding out the sex of my babies. I found out early with Mathias and Azlyn, and this one is no different. I was so curious to see if my instincts were right. I was right with the last two. When I told my doctor that I thought that this one was a boy because this pregnancy is a lot like the one I had with Mathias and that I am not near as sick as I was when I was pregnant with Azlyn, he just kinda laughed. He said that people always think that girls are harder because of the hormones but that baby girls really don't have many more hormones than baby boys. Anyways, here we are at 16 weeks and 4 days for our gender ultrasound.

Here is a close up of the little profile.

 Here is a little foot.

Another profile shot.

Here is the money shot. Turns out I was right. Baby Brower #3 is most definitely a boy!
When we got home to tell Mathias, he was so excited! He said he wanted a boy this time. He also thought he was pretty smart since he said from the very beginning of the pregnancy with Azlyn that she was a girl and that he wanted a boy this time. He could not believe that he was right both times.

picnic up the canyon

The day before my grandma had to leave, we met her, my Aunt Lori, and my mom up the canyon for a quick picnic. We brought up some Carl's Jr. and a big mug of water and had a nice picnic. Mathias and Mema had races rolling down the hill. Azlyn decided she wanted to play at the bottom of the hill with them and ran down after them. She of course turfed it but it barely phased her. The kiddos always have so much fun with Mema.

family bbq

My Grandma Mary was in town for a few days so everyone got together at my mom's house for a bbq. We decided to have the kids wear their special shirts and announce to everyone at once that baby brower #3 was on the way. We are 16 weeks and 3 days along and will be finding out tomorrow what we are having.
I think my Aunt Lori was the first to figure it out. She was trying to take a picture of Dev and Azlyn and he kept trying to straighten out her shirt so you could see what it said. It quickly caught on after that. Everyone was pretty shocked and excited for us.

We had a lot of fun at the bbq. Mema was trying to show Mathias how to throw a frisbee. Not quite sure he ever caught on but he sure had fun trying.

Azlyn had her first popsicle. It was a huge hit!

Another hit with all of the kids was the trampoline. Because there are so many kids in our family they had to take turns on it. Big kids all together and then the little kids. Azlyn wasn't so sure about going when other people were on it with her, but loved it when she was on it by herself.

There was quite the turn out. I love having such a big family and that a lot of them live fairly close by. I loved spending time with grandma and sure wish we got to see her more often and that she lived closer.

shoes and buttons

This little girl loves to show us her "button." She is so proud of herself for showing it to us when we ask her to and she just thinks it is so much fun.

Azlyn has become OBSESSED with taking off her her shoes and then trying to put them back on herself. She does this pretty much anytime I put shoes on her. I think it is funny that she picks up her foot to put it in her shoe instead of bringing the shoe to her foot.

I love how she thought she did a good job of putting her shoe on but you can see her little piggies hanging out over the straps. She is so dang funny.

church clothes

For some reason I am a sucker for little church clothes. Not just on little girls but on boys as well. I have noticed lately though how grown up Azlyn is looking while in her cute little church clothes. I just had to post a few pictures.

highchair

We have had Azlyn in her bumbo since she was about 4 months old. She is 16 months old now and still stitting in the bumbo on the kitchen table to eat with us. It has just been really convenient and easy for us to have her there and she still fits in it. However she is 16 months old and should probably be in a high chair by now. So we finally went to our storage unit, dug it out, and brought it home. She was so not happy about it and screamed when we first put her in there. After a minute or two and some treats she finally decided that it was ok.

7 peaks

We got passes to 7 Peaks this year with the hopes of using it a ton. Then the nausea came and I really didn't feel like leaving the house much, so unfortunately we only made it there twice.

These were the best pictures I got since the kids were both so interested in everything around them. Neither one of them was very sure about the place. For some reason, Mathias would not leave my side which made things really boring for him since I couldn't do much with Azlyn on my hip. Azlyn was also pretty nervous about the whole thing. She would kinda whimper for a while until she was used to just sitting there on my lap in the shallow water. Next time we go we will have to bring Dev so he can go and play with Mathias while Azlyn and I just hang out in the shallow water.

I sure love these kiddos

Azlyn 16 months.

Gotta love that face. Getting a "normal" smile for the camera these days is nearly impossible!
Mathias 5 1/2 years .

The best picture I was able to get of them together. At least they are both smiling.

corn on the cob

Grandma Brower was having some corn on the cob with her lunch today when Azlyn decided she wanted to try it.  So we put her in her bumbo (yes, she still sits in that to eat) and got to try it. She loved it!
